With Dashbo, you can set up budgets with flexible and non-linear investment distributions.
Investment brackets allow you to split your budget into smaller parts of different amounts so that Dashbo can do the corresponding math in its metrics.
For example, if a client wants to invest 50% of their budget in the first week of the month, 40% in the next 14 days, and the remaining 10% in the last days of the month, you can use this feature.
How to set up budget brackets?
Budget brackets are configured when creating a new global budget or in the "Global information" tab of an existing global budget. It can also be edited from the Budget (This period) cell on the main dashboard.
Within the budget settings, enable the option "I want to define investment brackets within the period".
The brackets are determined by setting:
a) The day number of the month up to which a certain spend is to be generated. In the case of one-time budgets, specific days of the period are chosen.
b) The amount to be spent, either as a specific amount of money ($) or as a percentage of the total amount (%).
Each budget can be split into up to 5 brackets.
This option is only available for global budgets. It cannot be used for campaign-level or ad group-level budgets.
Which metrics are modified when creating a budget with brackets?
Defining investment brackets within a budget will make Dashbo do the corresponding math when reporting the metrics for:
Actual vs. ideal spend

The "Budget - this period" column will be highlighted in light blue and will include a distinctive icon for budgets with brackets.
