How to configure board alerts and alert sensitivity

Learn how to configure when Dashbo should consider a metric's value to be normal, concerning, or alarming.

Dashbo's dashboards have to adapt to your own needs and preferences when it comes to monitoring KPIs.

This means that in addition to selecting which metrics you want to display on your dashboard, you can also control which of those metrics will function as an alert. ​

​These dashboard alerts will work with a traffic light-style system where each metric will take on different colors to mark its performance. ​

  • In Green, what is very good (or better than expected).

  • In Light Blue, what is as expected.

  • In yellow, poor performance.

  • In Red, critical performance.

The criteria for whether a performance is critical, poor, as expected, or better than expected is what we call its "sensitivity," and it can also be edited to your liking.

From where do I determine which metrics should function as alerts on my dashboard, and how do I configure their sensitivities?

This is done from "Agency Settings > Alerts"

In this panel, you will find the entire list of Dashbo metrics, each with its sensitivities.

Where it says something like "ROAS vs. Last month"; POOR 30%, it means that Dashbo will consider this month's ROAS performance as "poor" if it is 30% lower than the previous month's.

​Dashbo will mark these cases in YELLOW on the dashboard.

Where it says something like "ROAS vs. Last month"; CRITICAL 50%, it means that Dashbo will consider this month's ROAS performance as "critical" if it is 50% lower than the previous month's. ​

Dashbo will mark these cases in RED on the dashboard.


What if I want to have a different set of alerts and sensitivities for a control line from the agency's default?

For these cases, you can always use a specific alert and sensitivity configuration for each control line.

You just need to go to "control line settings > Alert settings" and enable the option "Use special alert settings for this control line".

From there, you can create an alert and sensitivity configuration that applies only to that control line.

This is very useful, for example, if you have a control line that tracks upper-funnel traffic campaigns where you are not interested in receiving alerts about changes in performance metrics like CPA, ROAS, or Revenue.
